Read This First
It’s important that you become familiar with operating your Laserlight Core as some issues can easily be solved or explained by understanding how your Laserlight Core is correctly meant to be used. Often issues can be resolved quickly by ensuring the light is adequately charged and making sure it isn't in locked mode.
Please have a read over our ‘First Time Getting Started’ page and if your problem is not solved please read our troubleshooting guide below. In the instance neither of the previous steps solve the problem please feel free to get in contact with us.
My Laserlight Core White Light Won’t Turn ON
Firstly make sure your Laserlight Core is fully charged by giving a short press on the Laser Control or LED control button. This will indicate the charge level of your Laserlight Core.
Next, check that your light is not in locked mode. (This mode temporarily disables both LED and Laser to make sure it doesn't turn on accidentally in your bag or pocket.) To check, hold both buttons down together for a minimum of 2 seconds until you see the LED flash. Your light is then unlocked and will work as normal.
If your Laserlight Core indicates it has some level of charge with a Green, Flashing Green or Red light, you have checked that it is not in locked mode, and will still not turn on, please get in touch with us.
If your Laserlight Core indicates it is less than 25% charged with a Flashing Red light or no light at all, please charge your Laserlight Core. Please try multiple USB ports as not all USB ports are made the same and output varying amounts of power.
If your Laserlight Core continues not to charge or indicates a Green light and will not further turn on please get in touch with us.
My Laserlight Core Laser Won’t Turn On
Please refer to the steps above when considering if the Laser is not working on your Laserlight Core as both the Laser and Light draw power from the same battery.
Remember to check that your light is not in locked mode. To check, hold both buttons down together for a minimum of 2 seconds until you see the LED flash. Your light is then unlocked and will work as normal.
It’s important to be aware that although we’ve built the Laserlight Core to withstand some knocks and bumps, the most common reason for the Laser failing within the unit is due to significant drops.
Always be careful when handling your Laserlight Core and always make sure it’s clicked into the bracket after removing.
If you have tried all the steps above, your light has not incurred a significant drop and your laser is still failing to operate than please get in contact with us via email on email@example.com.
I’m Struggling To Turn My Laserlight Core OFF and ON
To completely turn your Laserlight Core light or laser ON or OFF you need to press the individual buttons.
For the laser, to cycle through the different light modes from the starting mode of OFF back to OFF again, you will need to push the Laser Control button three (3) times.
For the light, to cycle through the different light modes from the starting mode of OFF back to OFF again, you will need to push the Light Control button five (5) times.
Be sure to take it easy on the buttons as excessive pressure can cause the front button to jam or stick rendering the light unusable.
The Micro USB Cover Will Not Close
The Micro USB is designed to be a tight fit to stop water getting into the charging point of the Laserlight Core so sometimes it can be a little tricky to fit back into place. Keep pushing and gently wiggling and it will eventually go back in, keeping your Laserlight Core charging port nice and dry.
My Laserlight Core’s Light Has Stopped Working
The Laserlight Core contains a Light Emitting Diode (LED) and in the instance of an excessive fall may cause some of LED to stop working. So please be careful when mounting after removing and remember to listen for the click.
The Charge Status LED Doesn’t Come On
As mentioned previously, it’s important to be aware that although we’ve built the Laserlight Core to withstand some knocks and bumps, significant drops may impact some of the functions of the light including the charge status LED.
The Light Doesn’t Fit Into The Mount
The Laserlight Core and its mount are designed to be a tight fit, so in the instance the Light will not fit into the mount please ensure nothing is obstructing its way or catching within the mount.
My Laser Projection Is Skewed
Your Laserlight Core should show a clear bicycle symbol in front of you as you ride. If your light from new is showing a skewed image (which could be 2 x images of a bicycle) then please stop using the light and get in contact with us immediately.
My Laser Projection Is In The Wrong Position
Before you start riding, it’s important your Laser projection is calibrated to the optimum position. To do this, turn on your Laser after you have mounted your Laserlight Core to your handlebars. Adjust the lights position until the projection of the bicycle is 4 - 6 metres away.
Handlebars Are Too Thin Or Too Thick
The silicone strap that comes with your Laserlight Core is designed to fit all standard handlebars including 31.8mm and 25.4mm handlebars.
If your handlebars are bigger than the standard 35mm the Silicone Strap has the ability to stretch to fit around a bigger diameter. However, this will increase the chance of the Silicone Strap snapping causing your light to fall off and increasing the chances of your light becoming damaged which is unfortunately not covered under warranty.
If your handlebars are smaller than the standard 25.4mm handlebar you can use the middle horizontal section of the Silicone strap to mount your Laserlight Core. However, this will increase the chance of the Silicone Strap snapping causing your light to fall off and becoming damaged which Beryl holds no responsibility for.
Some Of The Features/Functions Aren’t Working Upon Unpacking
It’s important that if any features of your new light aren’t working upon arrival that you stop using the light and get in contact with us straight away.
